New monoblock collection - modern design in a classic format
A frenzy of colours, exciting graphic motifs, a 3D effect and perfectly matched ceramic tiles in a geometric form – these are the differentiators of Monoblock, a fresh interpretation of square tiles from Opoczno.
The new concept of Opoczno tiles features an explosion of colours and unusual graphic art. In the creation of the Monoblock collection, the designers were inspired by a trend combining modernity with respect for classic forms. The trend was visible in the latest ideas of the interior design industry and its confirmation could be found for instance at the world’s biggest ceramic tile event – the Italian Cersaie fair.
Monoblock – one collection, numerous possibilities
Monoblock features modern designs captured on a smaller tile format (20 x 20 cm). The collection was inspired by a funny jigsaw puzzle that can be arranged in any way by simply combining different colours and patterns. As the name suggests, the collection consists of elements resembling bars or blocks in several versions. In its latest concept, Opoczno addressed various needs, offering tiles to create tranquil retro-style interiors as well as original, bold ceramic mosaics. Monoblock wall tiles can be used both for minimalistic décor and for completely extravagant, intense compositions. It all depends on your imagination – which arrangement of tiles suits you best? What colours do you prefer? Would you choose conventional or unusual grout colours? Will you create a multi-colour or single-colour composition? And last but not least, do you want the tiles to complement or completely dominate your space?
A range of inspirations
Expressive colours are becoming increasingly common in interior design. No wonder designers are focussing more and more on interactions between colours, as if to make up for the years dominated by straightforward grey and white hues. A cheerful range of colours inspired the collection of Monoblock square tiles, reflecting modern, vivid, colourful concepts in interior design. Opoczno followed the trendiest colours and hues, textures and patterns and transferred them to tiles to capture the essence of modern design in a tile in the most universal of shapes.
Surprising Monoblock versions
You can combine the Monoblock square tiles any way you want for your own, individual mosaics. The collection includes plain tiles as well as tiles with exciting effects, both matte and glossy.
- COLOURS/PASTELS – the colourful tiles from the Colours series come in intense, vivid shades of green, yellow, orange and blue. The collection also includes base tiles in very subtle milky colours – white, grey or cream hues. They are complemented by tiles in delicate pastels, which are a compromise between the two first options in the Colours line. The Pastels series offers two delicate shades of sky-blue and a bright yellow and pink tile.
- 3D EFFECT – invented for those who are looking for unusual tiles, the 3D effect series includes tiles with a three-dimensional effect – they look like structural tiles but are actually completely flat. A 3D effect on a flat-surface tile is a new solution of Opoczno.
- GEO – an incredibly original but delicate effect achieved by putting two images on a tile where the first one is a matte base and the other is glossy.
- BAR – a series based on 3 structures with a glossy surface. The three structures characterising the tiles from this series can be freely mixed for a unique, yet still coherent whole. Monoblock bar comes in white only.
